Rock In Rio 2011
Genrent has supplied 500KVA with 2 Generators to light up the largest music festival in the world Rock In Rio.
The 7 days event was welcomed by over 1.5 million people from all over the world.
Peak Shaving - Shopping Barra 4MW/460, 13.8 KV
Genrent won a six-year contract to supply and install a 5MW power plant at Boa Vista Shopping Center in Bahia. The project requires unique engineering in order to achieve 65 dB at a distance of seven meters and to meet environmental regulations in urban areas.
This contract reflects the shopping center management’s complete satisfaction with a 2MW peak shaving operation carried out previously by Genrent over a period of five years.
Bi-Fuel conversion project.
In November, 2011, Amazonas Energia signed a contract with GENRENT to modify the 140MW power plant in Manaus to operate on natural gas. In view of environmental concerns, the plant will be converted from diesel fuel to 70% natural gas and 30% diesel.
This conversion project is unique in terms of scope and technology and a result of close cooperation between GENRENT and engine manufacturer MTU. It will consist of 135 generators all powered by MTU and is expected to be completed in March 2012.
